By using RetIQ — whether during the free trial or as a paying customer — you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the software.
Web: New users receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all RetIQ Pro features. No credit card is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial period, access to Pro features is suspended until a license is purchased. Trial access is limited to one trial per user and is subject to reasonable network-based limits to prevent abuse.
iOS & macOS: Basic retirement planning features are permanently free. Advanced features (Monte Carlo, Strategy Report, Roth Optimizer, Scenarios, Survivor Center, Relocation Analysis, What-If Explorer, Tax-Aware Drawdown, and export) require a one-time in-app purchase.
Upon purchasing RetIQ Pro (web) or RetIQ Full (iOS/macOS), you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software on your own devices for personal financial planning purposes. You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute, or share your license key with others.
Your license grants access to the current version of RetIQ and all future updates released during the life of the product.
Web: RetIQ Pro is available for a one-time purchase. Users who purchase during their 7-day free trial period receive an early adopter price of $29. Users who purchase after their trial has expired pay the standard price of $49. All prices are in US dollars.
iOS & macOS: RetIQ Full is available as a one-time in-app purchase of $49.99 (USD). App Store prices may vary by region and currency. Purchases are managed through your Apple ID.
Web: All purchases are final and non-refundable. Because RetIQ offers a full-featured 7-day free trial before any purchase is required, we do not offer refunds after a license has been issued. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the software, please contact us at support@retirementiq.app and we will work to resolve it.
iOS & macOS: In-app purchase refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policies. Contact Apple Support or visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund.
RetIQ provides financial modeling tools for educational and planning purposes only. The projections, simulations, and estimates produced by RetIQ are based on assumptions and mathematical models — they are not predictions of actual future outcomes.
RetIQ is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial planning firm. Nothing in this software should be construed as financial, investment, tax, estate planning, or legal advice. You should consult a qualified licensed professional before making any financial decisions.
RetIQ makes no warranty that its calculations comply with any specific legal or regulatory requirements applicable to your situation.
RetIQ is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any calculations will be accurate or complete.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RetIQ and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or financial losses arising from your use of or reliance on the software. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these terms or your use of RetIQ shall not exceed the amount you paid for your license.
You agree to use RetIQ only for lawful purposes and only for personal financial planning. You agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent the licensing system. You agree not to use automated tools to abuse the free trial system.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of RetIQ shall be resolved in the courts of Maryland.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in an updated effective date. Continued use of RetIQ after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
RetIQ’s AI Guide feature allows you to optionally connect your own API key from third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Perplexity, Meta, Groq, DeepSeek, Mistral). By enabling this feature:
This feature is entirely optional. Without it enabled, RetIQ operates fully locally with no data transmitted to any third party.
